Genesis 22: 17-18 "I will indeed bless you, and I will multiply your descendants as the stars of heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore. And your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies, and by your descendants shall all the nations of the earth bless themselves."
In obedience to the command of the Lord, Abraham took his son Isaac to the land of Moriah to offer him as a burnt offering. Instead of accepting Isaac as the offering, the Lord provided Abraham with a lamb. God also promises to provide that descendant through whom all the nations of the earth shall be blessed.
