Isaiah 11: 1, ch 53: 2, 5 "There shall come forth a shoot from the stump of Jesse, and a branch shall grow out of his roots." "For he grew up before him like a young plant, and like a root out of dry ground." "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that made us whole, and with his stripes we are healed."
Isaiah beautifully describes how life and healing will come, how God's promise will be fulfilled. In Revelations 22:16 we read "I Jesus have sent my angel to you with this testimony for the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, the bright morning star." When we see the baby in the manger of Bethlehem, we stand in awe of the means of God's redemption for us.
