Isaiah 53:5 "But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; upon Him was the chastisement that made us whole, and with his stripes we are healed." Luke 23:33 "And when they came to the place which is called The Skull, there they crucified Him, and the criminals, one on the right and one on the left."
Only five days earlier the crowds had taken branches of palm trees and gone out to meet Jesus as he entered Jerusalem, and they had cried, "Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel!" Blessed indeed, and blessed are we as we are healed and made whole.
